1. How often do you add new graphics to the site?

New collections of graphics are added every other weekday (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday).

Occasionally we may take breaks from this schedule, but we’re usually pretty consistent.

2. Can I request certain graphics for your library?

Sure! We love to get feedback from our users on the types of graphics they enjoy most.

The best place to make suggestions would be on our Facebook page.

3. What formats are your graphics available in?

Our vector graphics are available as EPS files, while our raster images are available as JPEG files (300 dpi). Each vector also includes a raster version when downloaded.

4. How many images are in a collection?

Each collection varies, but in general, 5 – 10 images are included in a collection.

5. What is a vector? What is a raster?

A vector (EPS) is a file that can be scaled to any size without losing quality. Vector files also retain individual layers, which allows for easy editing.

A raster image is a flattened, single-layer image (JPEG) that loses quality when scaled beyond it’s original size.

6. Do I need special software to edit vectors?

To edit vector files, you’ll need to use software that supports these files. The most popular software includes Adobe Illustrator and CorelDRAW.

7. I’m already logged in, but when I try to download graphics, it says I’m not. What’s wrong?

This problem typically arises when you have multiple tabs or windows of your Internet browser open to Stock Footage For Free. In one window you may be logged in while on the other you may be not. If this is the case, our system err’s on the side of caution and assumes you are not logged in.

Please make sure you are logged in on all browser windows or tabs before you download.

Finally, to ensure full compatibility, we suggest using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox to access Stock Footage For Free as those are the web browsers we use to test the site.

8. I receive a 403 Forbidden message when I try to download, what’s happening?

Usually this happens when trying to download from an older version of Internet Explorer or Opera browsers. Certain versions of these browsers don’t support modern web standards that we used to build our site around. The simplest solution is to use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox (both are free browser solutions).

9. Is this website really free? What’s the catch?

Yes it is really free. We promise. Period. You sign up for the site and we give you free graphics. There is no catch at all.

10. Will you always be free or is this for a limited time?

We will always be free and have no plans whatsoever to charge for the site, ever.

11. How do you make money? What’s in it for you?

We are sponsored by a stock graphics company called GraphicStock. Because of this sponsorship, we don’t worry about making money — we only worry about delivering the best resource possible for free production music. In exchange, GraphicStock gets some good PR and marketing.

12. Do I have to pay any fees for using your graphics?

No. Our graphics come with a royalty-free, worldwide license agreement that never expires.

Read our license agreement here.

13. Am I allowed to use your graphics for a commercial purpose?

Yes! You are permitted by our license agreement to use our graphics commercially as long as you are adding substantial value to the footage.

Read our full license agreement.

14. What does “substantial value” mean?

The term “substantial value” means you modify or add to the graphic in a way that makes it uniquely yours. Simply by editing it into a larger project or adding text, you add substantial value to it.

This is an important concept because we do not permit users to re-sell or re-use our graphics “as-is.”

Read our full license agreement.

15. If I use your graphics, do I have to give you credit?

No you do not. If you’d like to, you may, but it is not required under our license agreement.

16. What is the name of your artist(s) so I can provide proper credit?

We cannot provide individual information about producers because our library is comprised of many graphics from many different artists. If you wish to give credit, you can attribute the footage to “Free Stock Graphics” or “FreeStockGraphics.com”.

17. I didn’t receive an email with my password. Where is it?

On rare occasions, our emails are filtered into spam or junk folders. Before you contact us with this problem, be sure to check in those folders.

Also, be sure to add info@freestockgraphics.com to your whitelist or contacts list to make sure you receive emails from us in the future, such as password reset requests.

18. How do I change my password?

You can change your password via the “Update Profile” page located here.

19. I forgot my password, can you send me a new one?

Sure! Just fill out this simple form and we will e-mail you instructions on choosing a new password.

20. How do I change the e-mail address on my account?

You can change your email address via the “Update Profile” page located here.

Please note that if you change your e-mail address, you will have to use your updated e-mail to login to the site in the future.

21. How do I delete my account?
